Redmond is thrilled to share that three talented individuals have joined our team as interns for the summer! Join us in welcoming Juan, Laura, and Grace aboard. We are grateful to have them on the team and look forward to their growth with us over the next several months.
Juan Melendez joins us from the University of Michigan as an Estimating Intern. Juan recently graduated from University of Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture as well as a minor in Civil Engineering. He previously worked for the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenter Apprentices and Training Program and joined the union as a carpenter apprentice for a year and a half. He is excited to develop his skills with Redmond over the next several months.
Laura Berkeley joins us from the Illinois Institute of Technology as a Project Engineer Intern. At the Illinois Institute of Technology, Laura is receiving a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering, Masters of Engineering in Construction Engineering and Management, and a Business Minor. She is looking forward to on-site exposures and putting her theoretical knowledge into tangible spaces. Before going back to school, Laura was a gallery director in Logan Square.
Grace McCaffrey joins us from the University of Iowa as a Marketing Intern. Grace is receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Analytics, a Minor in Art, and an Event Management Certificate. She is looking forward to learning how marketing is incorporated into the construction industry and improving her graphic design skills this summer. Grace was raised in Colorado and enjoys spending her time hiking, running, or skiing.
Redmond’s Summer Internship Program is for college students who are entering their senior year, have recently graduated, or are currently in a graduate program. The Program is designed to provide students who have interest in or will be pursuing careers in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries with extensive, hands-on experience working at one of Chicago’s fastest-growing general contracting firms.
